I saw Resurrection F last night, and, overall, I thought it was good. I think I do still like Battle of Gods more, but my experience with this film basically aligned with most of the reviews that I've glanced at: it feels a lot more like DBZ than Battle of Gods did (with its focus on the comedy and absurdity), and it's filled with tons of really well-animated fight scenes (except for some of the cgi moments) and comical moments. However, it also feels like it drags on a bit when they're trying to play up the drama, and Frieza never really feels like that much of a threat during the film, so the moments that seem like they're trying to build tension sort of just feel boring. Also, if you're watching this movie specifically to hear Goku's English voice say the line "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan", you will be disappointed, because he does not say it even once (Vegeta either).

However, all that said, I thought it was a really decent DBZ movie (still head and shoulders above any of the pre-Battle of Gods movies) with some great moments from Goku, Vegeta, Whis, and characters who don't usually get to see the spotlight much, like Krillin, Tien, and even Master Roshi. If you want to keep seeing Fox bring actual DBZ movies to American theaters, then go out there and pay money to see this film while you still can.

Please comment and enjoy.
